Indies First, held on Small Business Saturday, brings together authors and readers in support of independent bookstores. Authors and local celebrities volunteer at events across the country, and publishers offer special terms on books and exclusives. This year, Indies First and Small Business Saturday take place on Nov. 25, a day which is dedicated to supporting the local businesses that help communities thrive. Stop in and see some of your favorite authors from our 2017 event season return to the store as booksellers! Alan Gratz, Lucy Corin, Liyana Silver, Frances Figart, Cathy Nichols, Constance Lombardo, Katie Button, Nickole Brown, Jessica Jacobs, Deirdre Franklin, Mark de Castrique, Jamie Mason, and more will be here in the stacks to recommend their favorite books and help you get your gift shopping started! The café will feature special seasonal drinks all day long.

We are also excited to report that Dada Maheshvarananda will be back to play cooperative games with us every hour on the hour from 11 to 5. Last time he was here, the energy in the store was positively GIDDY!
