On Saturday, October 26, 2013 from 11am to 4pm, (Rain date is October 27th) Baltimore’s Patterson Park will be full of activity as the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS) hosts its NINTHannual pet festival – BARCStoberfest! Over 5,000 people and their pets will be on-site to enjoy food, entertainment and animal activities ranging from pet costume contests to micro-chipping.
BARCS will be partnering again with Charm City Run to hold the Second Annual 5K Ready…Set…Sniff!!! Where owners and their dogs can compete in a 5K run or 1 Mile walk through Patterson Park while raising funds for BARCS. The course will start and end at BARCStoberfest so that runners can shop the vendors, talk to vets, find pet daycare facilities, meet adoptable pets and more!!
BARCStoberfest is a fun packed day with proceeds directly benefiting the over 12,000 homeless animals that come to BARCS each year and increasing BARCS awareness in the community. BARCStoberfest is widely attended by people from all over Baltimore City and its surrounding counties and this year it will be bigger and better than ever!
